The above is a video I worked on way back in Feb/March with Lily and Lilac for an event called DISCONNECT with The Fashion Collective and LG Fashion Week. Our incredible model Jaclyn White is one of my FAVORITE Canadian girls. I think I've worked with her 3 or 4 times now, and will continue as long as I can. There's always one collection that kick starts an extreme excitement for the upcoming season. That one collection is usually Prada for me. Just look at those 1950's car inspired shoes, and purses. Tacky but in the most fantastic way possible!! Miuccia has taken pastels, embroidered floral patterns, cartoonish car prints, to name a few, and turned them into cool girl ensembles. This is one of my favorite collections thus far.

You may know Kelly Wearstler from the interior design world and her blog My Vibe My Life. I also did a little post on her last week. After huge success in the interior design world, Kelly has decided to hop over the fence to the fashion design world. The collection has definitely been injected with Kelly's natural sense of style, and love for prints and colours. Although compared to her interiors I feel like she could have kicked it up a couple notches. That's not to say that I wouldn't love to get my hands on a couple of those pieces. The collection is exclusive to Bergdorf Goodman and prices range from $205-$1,395 for clothes, $155-$995 for jewelry, and $795-$995 for bags.

Interior Inspiration: Barcelona Style

Back in June/July my friend and I packed our bags and went to Spain. While we were there we had the pleasure of staying with her cousins who live in Barcelona, and work at a magical furniture store called Dpies Acabeza. The store is filled with beautifully restored furniture, hundreds of desirable knick nacks, and several DIY decorating ideas.

The first two photos are of a cafe that they redesigned. I wish I took more photos of Petit Pot, it was the cutest place ever. Unfortunately I only have the 2 + many mental photographs, and unless Apple makes a brain printer you'll just have to use your imagination.

It always fills my belly with joy when a new or newish Canadian label comes about, and just does it right from the start. Chloe Comme Parris a label started by sisters Chloe and Parris Gordon is definitely on it's way to becoming something big. I've used their pieces in a couple upcoming editorials, and let me tell you...it was hard giving them back (especially that leather 3 buckle backpack). The construction and detailing in the garments make you appreciate the higher then normal price point. Not to mention the quality of leather used is unreal. Soft like a babies bottom, yet bad ass when adorned with giant silver buckles and crystals. I'm excited to see what these two have up their well constructed sleeves next. Snake Skin Nails

I'm starting to realize that I can't really go a post without mentioning python or snakeskin of any kind- real or faux. Who knew I'd come to love those slithery lil guys. ESPECIALLY on my NAILS. I came across a post on REAL snakeskin mani's...ummm no thanks. I'll leave the real snakeskin to purses, shoes, and other accessories. But of course there are hundreds of options for faux snakeskin nail art.

You will need:

Bundle Monster Nail Art Nailart Polish Stamp Stamping Manicure Image Plates Accessories Set Kit 25pc, from Amazon, Use plate BM-215

Konad Nail Art Double Ended Stamper And Scraper, from Amazon

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, 90501, Seche, 0.5 oz / Nail Treatments, from Amazon

1. Apply Jessica's "Venus was Her Name" on your nails and let it dry.
2. Apply a thin coat of "Passion" by China Glaze on the snake-skin image.
3. Scrape across the image immediately after, and press the stamper gently onto it and roll the stamper carefully onto your nail.
4. Dip paper towel in acetone and wipe the image plate/stamper/scraper immediately after. Repeat 9x
5. Apply Seche Vite top coat.
6. Clean off excess polish on your cuticles with a acetone dipped Q-tip.

So I'm off to Spain tomorrow!! Barcelona first, then Marbella, and lastly Madrid. I was really hoping my Cambridge Satchel would arrive before I left (I ordered it a month ago!!!) but alas it is....well I have no idea where it is.

This week has been quite the week for parties in Toronto... first Sutherland Models anniversary fete, followed by the Plaid mag launch party (which I wasn't able to attend unfortunately). Tonight I'm looking forward to H&M's MMVA Pre-Party featuring Dragonette followed by the YYZ Living magazine launch party. I had the pleasure to work on an editorial in the soon to be released issue.

With my trip to Spain just around the corner I have started to mentally plan out some outfits. The question is what do I wear on traveling days without looking like a complete slob (you never know who you'll end up sitting beside on that plane/train/etc.) The trick is comfort and style. Adding a printed cardigan, fancy flats, black framed sunglasses, or a silk scarf can really take a jeans and t-shirt look from sloppy to jet setter. As you can see above some celebs like to throw all options on at the same time, which isn't always the best look. Rosie Huntinton and Kate Bosworth seem to have it down to an art.

Last night I had the pleasure of attending "When Tommy Met Anna", an exhibit of Anna Dello Russo through Tommy Ton's eyes. I must say she was really quite amazing in person, and her 3 outfit changes (at least there were 3 from when I arrived) did not disappoint. Tommy and her make such a good pairing and it shows through all of the images.

The 81 image exhibit will be available for viewing from Thursday April 21 until Friday April 29th at The Room in The Bay (Queen and Yonge).
